On 31 March and 10 April 2007, interviews were conducted by the Oral History Project's Juliette Brodsky with past and present convenors of the Women Barristers Association (WBA). The interviews were filmed and directed by Sarah McLeod ("Raising the Bar") and explore themes such as the origins of the WBA, tackling discrimination and furthering opportunities among women barristers, the model briefing policy and challenges posed by raising a family and juggling busy practices. The result is a candid assessment of women's progress as legal professionals in the early 21st century. |
